Bearpaw Heli will provide all skiers and riders with a Barryvox Pulse avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, hand held radio and ABS airbag and pack.  There will be a mandatory avalanche safety instruction and practice for all guests.

We provide Rossignol Super7 powder skis and Burton Fish Snowboards.

You must bring your own ski boots and we strongly advise you to take them on as carry on luggage if you are flying.

Most guests are skiing with helmets, a low profile shell with removable ear covers are the way to go for heli-skiing, if not wearing a helmet, bring a good warm hat. Don’t forget good quality ski goggles and sunglasses.

When skiing or riding in the backcountry, layers of clothing is the way to go. You should start with a good base layer of Capiliene or other wicking fabrics, then a thermal layer such as fleece or wool. Above all, bring a ski jacket and pants that are made of water resistant or a Gortex type fabric, these should be warm and non restrictive. Good quality ski socks, gloves or mitts are essential. All of these items are very important so that you are comfortable in whatever the mountain environment.
